Advanced Flight Theory's Random Question Generator (RQG) system has proven to be a very popular and well used feature of our theory courses for many years now. In the last recorded two year CASA exam study window our students generated, attempted and then marked with full worked solutions provided, over 101,600 totally unique RQG questions. That's a lot of focused study!
What is AFT's RQG system?
AFT's RQG system is best described as an endless supply of randomly generated revision questions on all of the important calculations you need to fully understand, and be able to process without hesitation, before you attempt the CASA exams.
The RQG system is a unique, integral and essential part of your hybrid study package. The option of being able to target any calculations you find difficult with endless fresh fully worked examples, is far more beneficial to your study progress than simply doing practice exams, or the same revision tests over and over until you get them right by simply remembering the solutions.
Access to our RQG system is included in the purchase price of any Distance Learning or Full Time Ground School where calculations are required as part of your theory study, including the PPLH/CPLH, ATPLH and ATPLA subjects, Performance and Loading, Flight Planning and Navigation.
How does AFT's RQG system work?
On the main Practice CyberExam menu for any subject which has RQG's available, you simply select the type of question you would like to practice from the clearly labelled links, enter your Usercode and Password, and a fresh never seen before example of that kind of question will be created for you with data presented in a format similar to CASA questions for that topic. You can then spend as long as you like doing the required calculations before submitting your answer. A new page will then appear with the original question wording, your submitted answer, and the fully worked solution in a step by step format that allows you to check every part of the process to ensure you didn't miss any steps or make any wrong calculations. After checking your work you can generate more questions on the same topic, or return to the main menu to select a different calculation to practice. There is absolutely no limit to the number of unique questions you can generate and mark for any topic.
How many different calculations are covered by the RQG system?
There are 80 unique RQG's calculation links available, and many of these also have further user selectable options, allowing you to target any calculations you need extra practice to perfect. On this demo page there is a small sample of only 16 out of the 80 RQG's available.
There a millions of different question data combinations, so you never do the same calculation twice. With unlimited practice available and a unique new question every time you generate an RQG, you will become fully prepared for any calculation CASA presents to you.
Do RQG's offer both multi-choice and typed short answer style questions?
Yes! Both styles of question will be presented within the system, and for some topics you can even choose the style you would like to attempt.
How are RQG's best viewed?
RQG's are best viewed using Laptop, PC or MAC screens. iPad and tablet type web browsers in 'Desktop Website' mode are also supported. Phone screens are not recommended or practical.
